- Selcuk is Incredible
I stayed with Hacer Bulut when I was traveling through Turkey about 2 years ago. Hacer was an incredible guide who was answered all of my questions about the area. It´s amazing how much is packed into this landscape!! Ephesus is absolutely incredible! It´s such a massive well-preserved city that you really get the feeling of daily life. While there´s not a lot left to the Temple of Artemis, what is remaining gives you an idea of the enormity of this construct. As a Catholic, I found the trip to the Virgin Mary´s house to be a blessed pilgrimage. There´s also a very nice museum in town that has a surprising amount of artifacts. One day, Hacer took us to Sirince. This is a cozy little town where they make lots of incredible wine. I had bought some to save, but it didn´t last very long. I spent a month backpacking Turkey and this was my favorite town. Selcuk is beautiful, friendly, and dripping with history. You´ll have an excellent time here with Hacer and Selcuk!

- Hello from Japan
Selcuk; it is a good place not many people know about. Selcuk is a strategic point to look around several famous places, such as Ephesus, House of the Virgin Mary, and Village of Sirince. Whereas there are many remains in West Coast of Turkey, these sites around the city are worth seeing definitely. From the centre of the city, most touristic sites are situated within one hour or so. Thus, we can look around very efficiently. In addition, Selcuk is a very cozy town, not like Istanbul or Ankara. With safety and reasonable prices, we can have a very relaxed time. We can go through an ordinal Turkish life with friendly people. When we walk around a lively street market, we can find lots of gifts from the Goddess of Fertility. When you need any supports in Selcuk, you can ask to Bulut Tour established by Hacer Bulut. She is a friendly, faithful, respectable English teacher and tour conductor. I have always appreciated her good offices since I met her in 1986. She will show you the best touring in Selcuk and related sites. Dr. Naoto Adachi from Sapporo, Japan

- Enjoyed Selcuk!
We enjoyed our holiday to Selcuk very much. It is a clean, well kept town and is within easy access of Ephesus (3km) and other historical sites including House of the Virgin Mary and Temple of Artemis. There are abundant beautiful and clean beaches around the Turkish coastline and although Selcuk, which retains its Turkish traditional culture, is not a seaside town there is a beach approx.7km away. Selcuk has a very interesting museum and we found it especially fascinating to watch the storks nesting high up on the pillars of a former Roman aqueduct. There is an excellent weekly market plus a lovely tea garden and park to relax in. Around the town, shopkeepers etc. were extremely helpful and local children very polite. We enjoyed our visit to the nearby picturesque old Greek mountain village of Sirince, famous for its wine. We have known Hacer Bulut for almost 14 years. She is genuine, friendly and helpful and is a qualified English teacher and tour guide. We are regular visitors to Turkey and always look forward to meeting up with her. We would definately recommend a holiday to Selcuk and I am sure Hacer would do her utmost to make your stay a very enjoyable and memorable one!
